Today I am exceedingly grateful to have been offered a contract at my new side-hustle, as well as learning that I will have a little extra money coming in weekly until I get back on my feet, which were so suddenly swept under me. Things went from "DEFCON 5 dire" to manageable in a few short phone calls and pieces of mail. YAY! I am also (ALWAYS) thankful to my dad, who called just in time to hear all the good news!

Today I learned AGAIN that taking good care of myself is the nicest thing I can do for me and everyone around me. As Nikki reminded me: "take care of yourself the way you would take care of someone you were responsible for."

Today I accomplished several phone calls that I had been putting off and rather than find another reason to procrastinate, I just bit the bullet, and am SO glad I did!

Today's an easy one. I had my favorite pizza from sauced AND got to shoot the breeze with my dear Nix — who is wired JUST LIKE ME (we even have an ASL sign: "same same", and who never fails to be able to talk through my crazy just like I can talk through hers. She's also the best mom I know, and being so much younger than me, she has me in awe.
